Vintage Enamelware Candle Holder-Mid Century Modern-Hanova of Pasadena

Vintage candle holder with gray enamel, unsigned, likely from Hanova of Pasadena, California.

Measures 9.5" in length and the candle holder itself is 8.5" in diameter.

Though this appears to be Hanova, the piece is unsigned. Excellent condition.

Started in Hollywood, California in the 1960s, Hanova is known for their unique enamelware, texturing enamel onto steel. Each piece was individually fired at 1400 degrees, textured in three separate layers of enamel. The company created a variety of home decor and kitchen pieces, extending themselves into artwork with their abstract sculptural animals and chandelier candle holders.

This piece showcases the atomic enamelware stylizing of Hanova and would look great displayed on a table or wall. Iconic mid century modern design.
